Ee for Elephant {MFW Kindergarten Printables}

As much as I love the hands-on activities and crafts in our My Father’s World Kindergarten Curriculum, I was not very good about doing the Words to Remember badges with my daughter. So, I came up with something a little different for the boys. I created printable  art/copywork pages for them to work on their penmanship while creatively depicting the Words to Remember.

My Father's World Kindergarten Words to Remember: Ee for Elephant

This is the Lesson 15: Ee for Elephant page from one of my older boy’s kindergarten school year. All we used for this page was construction paper (pink, gray, white), wiggle eyes, something round for tracing (we used some plastic icing lids), and glue. Use the plastic lid to trace three circles onto the gray paper and two circles onto the pink paper. Cut out the gray circles on the traced lines and cut out the pink circles slightly smaller than the traced lines. Cut two small triangles out of the white paper and a rectangle from the gray.

Now you are ready to glue! First, glue each of the pink circles onto two of the gray circles and then adhere them to the page spaced apart to make the elephant ears. Next, glue the third gray circle in the middle of the ears to make the head. Slide the two triangles underneath the head for the tusks and glue. Adhere the rectangle trunk onto the head and then add the wiggle eyes. That’s it!

Visit the MFW Kindergarten Words to Remember blog post for information on downloading all of the Words to Remember copywork pages.

PLEASE NOTE: These copywork printables are only for students who are reading and writing easily. This type of copywork is not a regular part of My Father's World Kindergarten curriculum.
