Hello MamaJenn, Thanks so for the opportunity! I thought I would give it a shot anyway :-) If I were to win this great giveaway I would spend it on a new living room sofa set for me and my parents (I live with my son and my parents at their house) The one we have now is very dirty and either cleaning or re-upholstering would cost a great deal. So we have planned to give it to a jumble sale and get one at a second hand place/auction.

I would donate all of the money to a family friend who is diagnosed with stomach cancer (stage 3). after 17 years of trying, God has blessed her with a child and 2 years later is trying fight this cancer naturally.

ReplyDeleteIf I had an extra $500 I would probably spend it on several different things -first and foremost... tithe. Then a really good devotional program that I've wanted for several years as well as some good games for homeschooling, probably some fun craft materials... there are a TON out there, and other odds and ends that we enjoy using for around the house for homeschooling - good books, a few movies for rainy days and maybe even some cool robot or grow your own crystal kits...

I would than replace our bathtub, since it is cranking and I have a big fear of the damage that is being done underneath - since I cannot see. If there is any money left, that would be placed in savings.

We started last school year and after the first year under our belts we realize we need to totally revamp our classroom to make it more kid friendly and accessible to us as "teachers". ReplyDeleteI am going to be a second year homeschooler of 2 boys this fall. Last year was a horrible year because I was so unorganized and didnt have proper materials. I am in the process of trying to do better this year, and I could use that money to help get materials I needed to become better organized and ready.
The other thing I might do...I have been BEGGING my husband to landscape our backyard, so that it is kid friendly and so that we can get a playstructure or something for them to do in the middle of the homeschool day when we all need a break. We just got an estimate for $3600 and I would use it to help pay some of that.
Lastly, I would LOVE to go visit my best friend in Wa. and tickets are expensive, so I could use it to help with that as well. I better get praying for guidance on what God wants me to do with the rest (after he receives his portion.) :) Thanks for offering this.

I would purchase a nook e-reader for my dyslexic son....being able to control print size and have less to fumble in his hands would be great! Then I would help my homeschool of 4 with one in her arms to juggle friend purchase bookcases for her classroom. And why couldn't I get one of those silly black cat clocks with the swinging tail and moving eyes that I saw for sale...reminds me of my grandma....that would make me smile...an then I would send some to my sponsor child's family....
