Materials Needed:
1) Two labeled dice. One die labeled with three addition symbols and three subtraction symbols. The other die labeled with 1, 2, 3, 10, 20 & 30 OR any other #s you would like to use. (We prefer to use either our Education Cubes or our Write-On Wipe-Off Dice)
2) Counters (We prefer to use our magnetic cookie sheet & puff ball magnets)
3) The Off the Grid game board grid included in the download
Prepare: Print one game board which is included in the download. Laminate or slide into a page protector for durability.
Play: Each player begins by placing their counter on a number on the board between 40 and 70. Each player takes turns rolling both of the dice/cubes and moving along the board as indicated by what is rolled. The winner is the first person to get “off the grid” (i.e. the first person to get off the board by rolling something that takes them beyond 0 or 100).
The Game in Action with 3 Players: Each play chooses a counter and a starting number. Player Red selects 51. Player Green selects 36. Player Yellow selects 55.

Player Red rolls + 10 and moves from 51 up to 61.

Player Green rolls – 3 and moves from 36 back to 33.

Next Player Yellow will roll and move. Players continue to take turns rolling and moving along the game board until one player goes “off the grid!”
