Geography From A to Z is one of the awesome books we are using as part of our My Father’s World Exploring Countries and Cultures curriculum. Rather than using the index cards suggested in the curriculum, I decided to copy an idea I saw on Discover Their Gifts. Check out the cute little geography notebooks that Monica’s girls made in her week 1 highlights post!

So, I decided to create printable copywork/illustration pages based on the definitions found in the book. I thought it would be fun for my kids to create a beautiful keepsake geography dictionary…and now your kids can too!  Winking smile

Here are a few samples of my daughters pages so far:

As she completes the pages, she places them in her geography notebook (a 3-ring binder) alphabetically. It is a fun little way to “secretly” add in some practice alphabetizing!

PLEASE NOTE: These printables were designed for use by 2nd and 3rd graders using the My Father’s World Exploring Countries & Cultures curriculum.

Download the Geography pages from my MFW ECC Printables page.

I’m linking this up with the MFW Homeschool Highlights! Be sure to stop by Discover Their Gifts and see what other MFW users are doing!

  4. Hey girl glad you like the vocabulary notebook. Thanks for sharing it with others. We are really enjoying your printables in our ECC co-op! Tell your kids their pictures look super. My girls keep asking to start their cursive handwriting.... I am up reading the Cursive First teacher's guide right now. One thing at a time right?

  15. Hi! We are using ECC this year and I am so excited to have found your geography printables. I can't seem to get the dotted lines to print, however. Did you print them out on special paper? Thanks!

  18. Hi Molly! I assume you are talking about the dotted mid-line on the copywork pages. Not sure why they are not printing out...I didn't use any special paper. Perhaps try printing in b/w. If that doesn't work, check to see if you have the most recent version of Adobe Reader. Usually that does the trick!
