Check out my “all boy” holding his own with the sewing machine!

My mom took the boys to pick out their own fabric and helped them make a drawstring bag! Check out the finished project!!!
Who said that boys can’t sew?!?!?!?!

Welcome to my main blog!

Certainly not me. That's in my plans soon.
ReplyDeleteLove this!! My oldest shows interest here and there with sewing. (my daughter is just learning) What a great idea for a project. =0)
ReplyDeleteMama-Jenn,
ReplyDeleteYo go boy! My crew is still using needle and thread. We'll probably wait a while before we start using the sewing machine, but they're enjoying themselves.
Interestingly, many of the most prominent designers are men so, I think boys can "sew" just fine. It's a good addition to their schooling.
Good job! I heard a while back that Orville and Wilbur Wrights' mother insisted that they learn to sew and they used this skill to build their airplanes.
ReplyDeleteThat's fantastic! I guess I need to learn how to sew, if only so I can teach the kids :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea!
ReplyDeleteI have boys too. They love to craft, cook and even garden. They started when they were little and now that they are teens, they can cook better than me.
ReplyDeleteMama-Jenn,
ReplyDeleteYep! Your boys can sew. Sewing is a skill that never grows old and will prove useful for your sons and daughter. My crew is still using needle and thread and will eventually move to the sewing machine.
This is awesome! I can't sew but it would be awesome to learn and be able to teach my girls.
ReplyDeleteMy mom taught my daughter (like she taught me) and my daughter can sew completely on her own...and she actually does really well! She loves making outfits for her dolls. As for my boys, they made their little bag with Nana, and that was it! LOL!!
