1st Time Obedience {with two 2 year olds...}

I had been working diligently with the little boys on first-time obedience. When they would obey right away, I would make a big deal about it...you know, give them a high five, talk about how happy it makes mommy and daddy {and more importantly Jesus}, tell them how proud I am of them...you know the works.

Well, JI was standing on my feet so that he could see over the counter. I asked him to get off my feet and he immediately got off. I made a big deal about how proud I was of him for obeying right away. Well, his twin, TJ, saw the whole thing and he apparently got a bit jealous. The next thing I knew, he marched right over and stood on my feet and looked up at me. Completely understanding, I smiled and asked him to get off my feet. Of course he was super happy when I praised him for obeying right away as well! Gotta love having two 2 year olds!!!

  2. So cute! I could totally see my little ones (3 1/2 and 2 3/4) doing this. We're still working on the obeying the first time. Perhaps I'll try your tip. Thanks for sharing.
