A friend of mine just happened to give me a few books by Stuart J. Murphy. After reading the books, I loved how he integrated math into the stories. I googled his name and discovered he has TONS of "living" math books in his MathStart series. I then went on a hunt for more such books from different authors. The list became quite long...well, actually, it became so long that rather than just putting the list here on this blog, I created an entirely new site just for it! The site has been up and running for awhile...I am just now getting around to sharing it here with you all. So, feel free to head over on over and check out the list. {This post may contain affiliate or advertiser links. Please review my disclosure policy.}

Welcome to my main blog!

I LOVE his books. My kids love the Monster Musical Chairs.
ReplyDeleteI'm going over now to the new site.
Have you ever check out Christian Children's Books? They featured a couple of books recently I meant to send over to you, but forgot to.
Great list! This is what we will be doing for math this year. I have been working on a book list too, plus units for each! I can't wait to get started with my kids!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great list! Thanks for all of the hard work you do for the rest of us {grins}!
ReplyDeleteAwesome! Can't wait to check it out :)
ReplyDeletethis looks great.. going over to check out the site. Very timely for us as my oldest is going through a "I don't like math" phase :)
ReplyDeleteThis is kinda funny. I just went to the library last week and discovered how MANY books were written by Murphy. We're reading Leaping Lizards right now. Thank you so very much for narrowing down, significantly, my search time.
