Proverbs 10:5 {printables}

With my daughter's My Father's World 1st grade curriculum, she is learning Bible verses from Proverbs. To help her remember them, I have made printables for her for each of the Proverbs covered in the curriculum. We put an 8.5x11 of the verse up on our Bible board and I also scale it down and print it onto a blank 4x6 inch index card to go into her Bible verse memory book.

I also created printable copywork for each of the verses. Once she completes the copywork, I hole punch it and put it in a 3-ring folder so that we have another record of her verses. Plus, it is nice to be able to look back and see how her penmanship improves! As we move along and cover more verses, I will continue to add them.

You can download the docs by clicking on each of the images.

FYI: The curriculum does come with blank pages to use for the copywork. However, I made these to coordinate with the memory verse pages above. Plus, I just think they are so darn cute and my kids are loving them!

  1. I really like these, Jenn - what a great mom you are to make these! Obviously, this kind of thing is a ways off for us, but I want to do this with Matthew when he's a bit older.

  4. Mama-Jenn,

I like how you think (a lot like me). I have my children do copy-work w/their weekly Bible verses and have been making their sheets for them to practice. I find theme pictures reflecting the verses make it a little nicer for them when learning. I'm sure they were, because I was, getting bored w/just a text page to refer to. Did that make sense?

    Keep up the good work.

  6. After finding a link to your sight on a friends page on facebook, I have been going through your site for the past 3 hours. First I just want you to know that If I can be half the mother that you are I must be doing good. MAJOR KUDOS ON THE 5 kids and keeping your sanity. I have one and sometimes feel like I am loosing it. You are a woman of strength and endurence. Logic, understanding an patience. I love that you have this equal balance in your life, I strive for that and I admire your relationship with God.
In 2006 me and my Husband had a son. We named him Matthew Dartangnan Price Yount. He weighed 2lbs 7oz, He was not breathing at the time of his birth. The funeral arrangments and much of the funeral was a blurr. I don't remember much of the next 2 years due to my alcohol induced state of mine. Alcohol helped me not remember what it felt like to hold my dead baby in my arms, it helped suppress the sad memories of your first baby pictures, it helped surppress hearing a baby in walmart cry and knowing that it wasn't your little boy crying for you. I'm not proud of the things that I have done to Suppress my pain.

In 2009, me and my husband were blessed with another baby. He was born on March 3, 2009. weighed 3lbs 6.9oz. 5 weeks preemie. He was my miracle. He was never in the NICU with the other preemies, never had to recieve oxygen. HE was incredibly healthy, except for the bout with Jaundice. He had to be in a Jaundice tank for 48 hours. He was released after only a 10 day stay in the hospital.
EVERY MORNING that I wake up and hear his sweet voice calling my name over the baby monitor I am grateful. Becoming a mother saved my life.
I not only have my sweet baby boy Anakin here on earth, I have my sweet angel baby Matthew waithing for my somewhere beyond.

My relationship with God has changed in the past 11 1/2 months. When I woke out of my first c-section, to the realization that I was "a diffrent kind of mother". I woke up a completely different person from when I was put to sleep. I was confused as to where I stood. I carried a child full-term, only to walk away empty handed. I became quite angry with the Lord. (I was raised southern Baptist, that's not something you do.) Sometimes, on certain days of the year, (such as, his birthday, or hus due date) I become "angry" again.
When I took my second pregnancy test and it was positive I begged God EVERYNIGHT To let me have a healthy baby. I took EVERY precaution. And he answered my prayers. And after my 2nd c-section I again woke up a different person from when I fell asleep, I woke with a certain Enlightenment, An out of this world appreciation for who I am as a woman, who I am as a mother, and who I am as a wife. I knew who I was when I woke up, I didn't have to search for me anymore.

ANAKIN IS MY LIFE. I wake each morning to his beautiful face and fall asleep each night with our next day on my mind, The joy of being a mother has swept me off my feet, and ran across the world with my soul.

I commend you for your devotion and endurence to be a wonderful mother. There aren't too many of those left. I admire your determination, and hope that I can be half the mother to 1 child that you are to 5!!

    GOD BLESS,
    Candace Yount !

  7. Candace,
Thank you so very much for your kind words. I also lost a child. However, I didn't face the same circumstances as you, with actually holding your dear son! I miscarried. But, I do remember the pain and sorrow and wondering "why, God????" I am so happy that the Lord has brought you back to Him!!! Isn't it a wonderful place to be!!!

I love how you said that the joy of being a mother has swept you off your feet! That is an awesome reminder to me! Yes, I totally know that children are a blessing from the Lord, but sometimes I have moments where it just seems so hard! You have encouraged me to look at the big picture. I would rather have the spilled milk and spaghetti on the floor if that means that I have my children...rather than a spotless floor without my children!!!

Thank you for taking the time to check out my blog. The main reason I came back to blogging was because I felt that the Lord was telling me to use it as a way to be a blessing to other moms! Comments like yours help confirm what I felt the Lord telling me!

By the way, Happy Early Birthday to your precious miracle son!!!

    Jenn
