album 2.5.10 030KJ’s doll has become a part of our family. Whatever KJ has, she wants the same for her doll. So, here is a quick little tutorial on how to make mittens and earmuffs for a doll. All you need is a regular old mitten.

First, cut off two fingers of the mitten and cut off the wristband part. At this point, you have your doll mittens and earmuffs (which can double as a headband.) The fingers that you cut are the gloves and the wristband is the earmuffs.

But, if you want to embellish them a bit, you can use beads. We had some snowflake shaped beads that I glued onto the mittens and earmuffs.  Use a hot glue gun if you want them to be ready sooner. Otherwise, you will need to let them dry overnight.

Now, put them on your doll!!! Here are our earmuffs/headband…

If my daughter didn't constantly undress every doll that she owns, then lose the clothing pieces, I would try this. lol

I wish Princess would actually play with dolls.... It's slowly coming.
Oh, and I was listening to a sermon that was talking about Rebekah being pregnant with twins, and I was just laughing at the comments made.....

  6. I really like your blog! I also blog about 18 inch doll crafts, this one I think is fantastic I can not wait to try it! As a mom of three boys, I have a lot of mismatched magic gloves. What a great idea for my nieces and my dolls!

  8. This is wonderful! I've seen other ideas for making mittens and headbands, but I like yours the best. I have a niece and a friend of the family with these dolls, so I'll be making some for sure. (And look out when my daughter gets one!)
