HOW TO MAKE IT: I found these great printable apples from Hubbard's Cupbard. You can print the apple patterns from here. Cut them out and use a hole punch to punch the appropriate number of holes in each. (I did 0 through 9.) Glue them to your folder. I grabbed some green pipe cleaners and cut them up to use as the worms. (If you don't have pipe cleaners, you could use yarn.)HOW TO PLAY: This is a super simple game to make that works on counting. Count the holes in the apple and then add the appropriate number of worms to each apple.

ReplyDeleteThanks for the idea!! I'm also using the file folder fun game "Adam's Apples" and making a duo game for my 7yo ds and 4yo dd. She can match the apples with numbers on them to the "wormy" apples to recognize numbers 0-9!! And he can do the place value practice!
