Since I have started blogging, I have been able to reconnect with people that I have not been in contact with for a long time. One such person is my friend Ann. Checking out her blog made me think of the pics she took of me and my husband. Man, that was over five years ago! Time sure does fly! Anyhow, when I was pregnant with my daughter she agreed to take pictures of us at the beach. At the time, she had just kind of gotten into photography. We (along with everyone else) kept telling her that she had a great eye. Anyhow, I absolutely love the pics that she took and this one here is one of my very favorites. But, they don't even compare to the work she is doing now! Check out Ann's photo blog to see more of her awesome work! BTW Ann, I still cannot find the negatives or the printed photos and I only had a few of the pics saved on my computer. I have GOT to find the rest of my "Posing Pregnant" pics!

ReplyDeleteYou know, this shoot was really a turning point for me. You took a chance when you asked me to photograph your pregnancy - I had never even thought about photographing people, much less as a profession! Ya'll will forever be a defining moment in my career! I'm glad it happened with such a wonderful, strong, amazing couple.
I remember Reg asking me, "Ok, what should we do now?" And I was thinking, "I don't know! I'm just here to play with my camera!" But I really took that challenge to heart. I owe lots of this to you & Reg!

Ann, you are so sweet! I am just glad that you are doing what you love...besides, you are just so good at it! :-) Plus, I love, love, love the pics. You know, I never took pregnancy pics with any of the other pregnancies...maybe it was b/c I didn't live close enough for YOU to take them! :-)
ReplyDeleteThat photo is beautiful. I checked out Ann's blog and her pictures are fabulous. I have great admiration for photographers and their talent - especially after having taken what feels like a million photos of my two today, trying to get a goood Christmas card shot. I finally gave up and decided it would be easier to just draw a picture of them!
ReplyDeleteYou are too funny! I am dreading trying to get a good family pic of our seven to put of Christmas cards! :-) She doesn't know it yet, but I am going to try to get my sil to take the pic of us while she is here for Thanksgiving.
