Goose-Egg Head

I figured I would share this story...just so you can get an idea of what my days are like. This picture of my son made me think of my dad!!! I am sure that he had lots of goose-eggs and knots in his days. Anyhow, here is what happened. It was a few weeks ago and JJ was supposed to be taking a nap. He said he needed to "go poops". (As a three year old, I have not yet given him the freedom...or shall I say, I have not yet freed myself from having to wipe him up after #2.) Since I was laying down (did I mention it was naptime...this one time I was attempting to nap too), I told him to use my bathroom so I wouldn't have to go far to wipe him. So, he walks into the room with this huge grin on his face. He is looking at me with this grin all over his face, then when he gets close to the bathroom door, he bolts into what he thinks is the bathroom, but instead his head meets the door frame....needless to say, the grin was gone. He came over to me and I casually rubbed his head and sent him on to the toilet. When I go in to wipe him, he has this HUGE goose-egg on his forhead. I get some ice for him and he lays in the bed with me icing the knot. When naptime is over, his twin, DC comes in. Seeing the attention that JJ was getting, DC walks over to the wall and thumps his head on the wall, declaring that he bumped his head and needs ice as well. So, I indulge and let him hold JJ's ice on his forhead for awhile. So, that is the story behind JJ's goose-egg-head!
